Nepean Ophthalmic Surgeons
Nepean Ophthalmic Surgeons, formerly known as Nepean Eye Specialists, was established in August 2013 and moved to its current location in 2021. It has grown to include 11 fellowship-trained subspecialist ophthalmologists with expertise across medical retina, vitreo-retinal surgery, glaucoma, oculoplastics and cataract surgery. The doctors also see patients for general eye examinations, medico-legal and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) vision assessments.
Retinal and cataract surgery is performed at various public hospitals including Liverpool Hospital, Concord Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital, and private hospitals including Nepean Private Hospital (Kingswood), Somerset Private Hospital (Kingswood), Liverpool Eye Surgery, Lakeview Private Hospital (Norwest), Sight Foundation Theatre (Sydney Eye Hospital) and Macquarie University Hospital.
Intravitreal eye injections, retinal laser, SLT/YAG laser and minor eyelid procedures are performed in the practice.
