A/Prof Hema Arvind is a glaucoma and cataract surgeon. She has been practicing ophthalmology since 2000, first in India, and then in Australia after she was accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) in 2008.

Dr Arvind is an Associate Professor with the University of Sydney and holds an academic appointment at Macquarie University. She has a PhD in glaucoma and has been involved in several large research projects in glaucoma. She has also published several papers in leading scientific journals.

Dr Arvind is a Visiting Medical Officer at Concord Hospital where she is involved in teaching and training the next generation of ophthalmologists in clinical and surgical skills.
